I have been using Joomla! for quite a while now, a year more or less. I started using it when the latest version was still 1.0.8 and now the latest stable version is already 1.0.11, two updates from the first one I used.

Lately though, Joomla! released it's newest version, a beta version, Beta 1.5 that was released last October 2006. I was one of the thousands of webmasters who are eagerly waiting for the release. Well, just like other beta software releases, it has a lot of bugs, some small and some significant ones. Other than that, there were compatibility issues with the components, modules, and plug-ins that are used with the current stable version 1.0.11. You can find the details at my other blog, Joomla Beta 1.5 . As the beta testing went on, Joomla! continued releasing 'nightly builds' which contains debugged versions of the beta release. Sometime last week though, a development occurred at the Joomla! Forums. They closed the support thread for the Beta release and announced that the 2nd beta released is coming soon. No specified date though for the moment.
